Fall Fundraiser Pickup

Don’t forget to pick up fundraiser items today (10/16/19) between 12 and 7 PM in the dining room. All guests will need a photo ID and visitor’s badge while on campus. Thank you for supporting Philip O’Brien Elementary!

Fall Picture Day

Fall picture day is scheduled for Friday, October 18.  Students will have individual portraits taken and must be in school uniform.  Please call the school at (863) 499-2950 if you have any questions.

Report Card Conference and Family Dinner Night

We are hosting a family hot dog dinner night to help families get conferences completed and have dinner with no stress. Dinners are free and include one hot dog, one bag of chips, and one drink. Dinners are available to the first 450 people. Staff members will be available in the dining room with information related to Accelerated Reader (AR), iStation, Smarty Ants, Freckle, Title One, upcoming assessments, and ways to help your child at home. We hope you will join us!

Please check your child’s agenda this Thursday (10/17) for the RSVP form. Pick your top three appointment times and return the form to the school as soon as possible. Conferences will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Conferences will last fifteen minutes.

October ROARabration

O’Brien Lions are making positive behavior choices to earn paw prints for October’s ROARabration! Students that earn 50 paw prints will attend the fall carnival during specials. Students that earn 70 paw prints will attend the fall carnival and earn a free shirt pass.* Students that earn 90 paw prints will attend the fall carnival, earn a free shirt pass*, and earn a snow cone. The carnival will take place during specials on Friday, October 25.

Check your child’s agenda on Thursday, October 24, for the ROARabration slip.

*Shirts must follow Polk County Public School guidelines and be appropriate for school.

Early Dismissal Day

Students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM, 2.5 hours early, on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.  Please call the school at (863) 499-2950 if you have any questions.
